White Nile Limited09 November 2005 9 November 2005 White Nile Limited ('White Nile' or 'the Company') With regard to the news release appointing Mr. Philip Ward as Chief OperationsOfficer dated 7th November 2005, RNS number 7125T, the Company wishes to makethe following clarification. On advice from Lundin Petroleum AB, Lundin Sudan BVwas not bought out by Petronas Carigali White Nile (5B) Ltd in May 2003, asstated in the release. The assets and business of Lundin Sudan BV were acquiredby Petronas Carigali White Nile (5B) Ltd in a transaction which was announced inApril 2003 and completed in June 2003. Lundin Sudan BV remains an indirect,wholly-owned subsidiary of Lundin Petroleum AB. In addition, prior to the above transaction, Mr. Ward held the position ofFinance/Administration Director and Commercial Manager for Lundin Sudan BV butwas not on the board of directors as the title might suggest.
