Further high grade extension to the Cathedral vein at Paguanta

 (Paguanta Zinc-Lead-Silver-Gold Project in Northern Chile)

Further to the Company's announcement of 4 May 2010, Herencia Resources Plc (AIM: HER) is pleased to advise that assay results have been received from a further four holes (PTDD042 to PTDD045) in the current diamond drill program at the Company's flagship Paguanta Project in northern Chile (Herencia 70% owner and manager).

Hole PTDD043 intersected high grade mineralisation approximately 50m to the east of high grades previously reported from PTDD041 (10m @ 5.8% Zn, 2.4% Pb, 126g/t Ag and 0.27g/t Au including 3.2m @ 12% Zn, 4.5% Pb, 230g/t Ag and 0.56g/t Au). The bestintersection being:

·; PTDD043 - 7.50m @ 7.1% zinc, 7.3% lead, 324g/t silver and 0.20g/t gold from 189.5m

including 4.95m @ 9.5% zinc, 10.6% lead, 467g/t silver and 0.22g/t gold

Due to the angle of drilling the true thickness of the vein is estimated to be close to the down hole thickness reported above. PTDD043 effectively extends the Cathedral vein a further 50m eastward and the vein remains open to the east and at depth. 

Drilling is scheduled for completion by early-July 2010 to accommodate an additional 2,000m extension to the original 3,500m drill program as a result of early, positive assay results. The Company has completed approximately 3,700m with some 1,800m remaining to be drilled.

It is anticipated that all assay results will be returned by end-July 2010 with an update to the Mineral Resource Estimate expected by late August/early September 2010.

Commenting on the assay results, Managing Director Michael Bohm stated:

"The consistency of mineralisation seen in both PTDD041 and PTDD043 is very encouraging, as is the grade and thickness of the high grade interval. An important point to note is that whilst zinc remains the primary metal at Paguanta, the high lead and silver grades achieved in these holes are excellent. The program remains on track to be in a position to potentially commence a Feasibility Study in 4Q2010".

Hole ID co-ordinate grid is PSAD56 UTM Zone 19S.
