PENTAGON ANNOUNCE FURTHER CONTRACT GAINS
VALUED AT MORE THAN £1 MILLION
Pentagon Protection plc (AIM: PPR) announces further contract awards totalling more than £1 million.
Pentagon has been awarded a contract valued at more than £612,000 for the installation of security window film and window film attachment on three high-rise towers located in Abuja, Nigeria. This project is designed to protect these buildings from the dangers of flying glass in the event of an attack or natural disaster.
The new contracts include both window film and security equipment. Contracts awarded to Pentagon's UK window film division include the removal and replacement of external solar control window film on the overhead glazing works for a UK government agency. This contract, which is expected to be completed over a 16 week period, is valued at £120,000.
SDS Group Ltd, Pentagon's specialist security equipment division, has also achieved a significant contract win for the supply of an EOD response vehicle valued at £300,000. This is the first of an expected number of orders to supply these bespoke EOD response vehicles into troubled regions around the globe. These vehicles, fitted out with select products from SDS's comprehensive range of counter terror search and detection products, provide local police, government and security forces a "turnkey" way to rapidly equip local EOD and search teams with the means to respond quickly to threats and incidents.
Pentagon's Managing Director Steve Chambers comments:
"I am happy to report these contract wins for the Group, which have been the result of the hard work put in by the entire Pentagon team over the past few months. It's the nature of our industry that project sales cycles tend to be long and fortunately we are beginning to see the fruits of our labour. We certainly expect these to be the first of many contract awards as we continue to work our sales pipelines. Pointedly, we are seeing an increase in global business with no pressure on gross margins across the Group, a result of Pentagon's decision to work with various commercial businesses and government agencies working in areas that are amongst the most volatile in the world."
