Further Assay Results from the Yacob Dewar Systematic Trenching Programme

Confirms High-Grade Gold and Oxide Copper Mineralisation

The Board of Ortac Resources Limited, the AIM listed exploration and mine development company, todayannounces that it has received the final set of assay results from the systematic trenching programme recently completed by Andiamo Exploration Ltd ("Andiamo") on the Yacob Dewar deposit located within the Haykota exploration concession area, Eritrea. This final set of assay results serves as resounding confirmation that near surface high-grade gold and oxide copper mineralisation exists within the Yacob Dewar deposit.

Yacob Dewar Gold Trenching Highlights:

· 3.29 g/t Au over 23.00m in trench YDTR-12, including 10.13 g/t Au over 3.10m

· 2.73 g/t Au over 9.80m in trench YDTR-15, including 5.40 g/t Au over 4.30m

· 1.77 g/t Au over 26.90m in trench YDTR-18, including 4.13 g/t Au over 4.00m and 3.22 g/t Au over 3.60m

· 1.74 g/t Au over 23.20m in trench YDTR-14, including 3.42 g/t Au over 9.20m

· 1.57 g/t Au over 21.20m in trench YDTR-16, including 4.74 g/t Au over 4.00m

· 1.44 g/t Au over 17.60m in trench YDTR-17, including 2.76 g/t Au over 5.40m

Yacob Dewar Oxide Copper Trenching Highlights:

· 0.81% Cu over 17.20m in trench YDTR-23, including 2.63% Cu over 3.00m

· 0.59% Cu over 19.70m in trench YDTR-21, including 0.91% Cu over 11.00m

· 0.58% Cu over 21.00m in trench YDTR-19, including 0.73% Cu over 6.00m

· 0.54% Cu over 10.50m in trench YDTR-10, including 1.24% Cu over 2.40m

Vassilios Carellas, Ortac CEO, commented:

"This is the final set of assay results from the systematic trenching programme, which was a thorough and extensive programme of geological work. The results have once again provided clear evidence that Yacob Dewar is showing encouraging signs of its potential to be a commercial mine. Once more, good gold grades were intersected over decent widths, and encouraging copper grades were intersected adjacent to the gold mineralisation distant from the high-grade copper zone targeted by the recently completed trenching and drilling programme. We are now building up a strong geological picture of Yacob Dewar which will be important as we move into the technical feasibility study stage."

Summary and Full Results

A systematic trenching programme has been carried out by Andiamo targeting both the copper and gold mineralisation at this deposit. This, the final batch of assays, largely covers the gold deposit and now enables the gold mineralisation intersected by previous drilling to be defined in three dimensions.

The trenches reported here (twenty two in total) are spaced approximately 50m apart and the aim was to cover the drill tested strike length of the gold mineralisation, which is in excess of 1km. Unfortunately, not all areas along the strike length of the gold mineralisation were able to be tested by trenches due to the varying depths of the overburden and the limitations of the excavators available.

The copper mineralisation encountered is believed to be associated with the higher grade copper mineralisation previously reported and will more than likely form part of the forthcoming classified resource.
