FUND MANAGER APPOINTMENT
Jim Wright appointed to manage new fund
Miton Group plc, the AIM quoted fund management group, today announces the appointment of Jim Wright to its investment team, as Fund Manager. Subject to the appropriate FCA approvals, Miton intends to launch a new fund specialising in global equity infrastructure during the second quarter 2017 as part of the Group's strategy to broaden its fund range.
Jim joins from the British Steel Pension Fund where he has a strong and proven track record of sustained performance.
Jim Wright commented:

ASSETS UNDER MANAGEMENT ('AuM')
As at 14 October 2016 the Group's AuM was £2,829m (30 June 2016: £2,542m). The Group continues to be well financed with £19.1m of cash on its balance sheet as at 30 September 2016 (30 June 2016: £17.4m).

Jim Wright
Jim has 19 years' investment experience and currently manages the Global Duration Equity Portfolio for the British Steel Pension Fund. He has managed this Portfolio since its inception in October 2006, having joined the Fund in 2003 as a UK Equity Manager. Prior to this he worked as Investment Manager, UK and European Equities at Global Asset Management (GAM) from January 2002 to August 2003. Jim started his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. Chartered Accountants and has also worked at Hill Samuel Asset management, Lehman Brothers and M&G investments.
