Selected as one of the "Best Under A Billion" companies by Forbes Asia
Asian Citrus, the largest orange plantation owner and operator in China, has been selected as one of the best companies in the 4th Annual Forbes Asia "Best Under A Billion" list.
Forbes Asia's "Best Under A Billion" companies are Asia Pacific's top 200 small and midsize listed companies ranked by profitability, growth and future prospects and chosen from a universe of 12,000 publicly listed companies with revenues of under a billion US dollars.
Tony Tong, Chairman, commented:
"We are delighted to be included in the Forbes Asian's "Best Under A Billion" list. This recommendation is a testament to the quality of our management team and the hard work of all our employees which has driven our continued successful performance.
"The global financial crisis in the second half of 2008 created an extremely challenging business environment around the world, including in China. There was a sharp drop in consumer confidence and lower demand for consumables. Despite these challenges, we have continued to grow our revenues and profit.
"We are confident that Asian Citrus will continue to progress and deliver good value to its shareholders in the wake of the continued economic growth in China."
