Watermark Global PLC15 April 2008 Watermark Global plc ("Watermark" or "the Company") Above expected first results from the Water Project for Western Utilities Corporation 15 April 2008 The Directors of Watermark are pleased to announce the first results, from theCouncil for Scientific & Industrial Research ("CSIR") pilot water plant, by itswholly-owned subsidiary, Western Utilities Corporation (Pty) Ltd ("WUC"). Thepilot plant has now been operating for a month and results from the plant areextremely encouraging and well within expected results. The purpose of the pilot plant is two-fold, namely proof of the Company'sconcept and secondly, verification of mass balances, including by-productsgenerated by the process that will form part of the commercialisation phase andcould generate additional revenue. Although detailed mass balances are not yetavailable, this requires a further two to three month operational period of theplant. Chemical analysis of the water indicates that the Acid Mine water can beeffectively treated through the CSIR process.
