Financial Services Compensation Scheme
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has announced an interim levy for 2010/11 of £326 million to cover compensation owed to retail investors from major investment firm failures, principally the failure of Keydata Investment Services Limited. IG Group Holdings plc ("the Group") has received invoices from the Financial Services Authority detailing the Group's contribution to this interim levy, which totals £4,052,000, payable within 30 days, none of which has been provided for. The interim levy is expected to affect investment intermediaries and fund managers regulated in the UK.
