at 18.02 under the heading Final Dividend and changes to PDMR Interests which contained errors concerning the number of shares acquired. The text below represents the correct announcement.
2008 Final Dividend - Scrip Alternative and changes to PDMR Interests pursuant to Disclosure Rule 3.1.2
Charles Stanley announces that, following approval by shareholders of the scrip dividend scheme at the Company's Annual General Meeting held today, elections have been made by 174 shareholders to receive 242,704 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the Company ("Shares") in lieu of cash in respect of all or part of their final dividend for the year ended 31 March 2009 ("Final Dividend"), to be paid on 4 August 2009.
Application has therefore been made for the admission ("Admission") of 242,704 new Shares to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities. The new Shares will rank pari passu with the Company's existing issued Shares and dealings are expected to commence on Tuesday 4 August 2009.
Pursuant to Disclosure Rule 3.1.2, the resultant interests, upon Admission, of certain Directors, PDMRs and their Connected Persons who have elected to receive the Final Dividend in the form of shares are set out below:
