Works Media Group (The) PLC04 June 2007 Works Media Group plc ("The Works" or the "Company") Film Distribution Rights Two additional titles acquired at Cannes Film Festival completing The Works theatrical release schedule for 2007 The Works Media Group plc, the independent film distributor, announces today theacquisition of multi-media UK distribution rights to an additional two films during the Cannes Film Festival. The acquisitions, which complement the Sienna Miller feature "Interview" announced on 21st May 2007, complete the Company's theatrical release schedule for 2007. The first of the films is Jim Henson's Creature Shop's "The Water Giant", a $27 million family film about a boy's relationship with a sea monster, directed by John Henderson ("Loch Ness", "Greyfriars Bobby"). The Works UK DistributionLtd, the Group's distribution subsidiary, has acquired all UK rights to the filmfrom sales agent ContentFilm plc and plans to distribute the film to cinemas this summer, before subsequent distribution across all other media. The Works has also acquired from sales agent AV Pictures, the UK distribution rights to "Black Water", a thriller based on the true story of an Australianfishing expedition terrorised by a saltwater crocodile. The Works plans to distribute the film, which is directed by David Nerlich and Andrew Traucki, in UK cinemas during the forth quarter of 2007, and subsequently across all other media.
