Update on MOU with Feilong
On 15 June 2012, the Company announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with Yunnan Xiangyun Feilong Nonferrous Metal Company ("Feilong") Subsequently, BMR supplied commercial representative samples of the stockpiles of mine tailings it owns in Kabwe, Zambia, to Feilong at its metals processing plant in the Peoples Republic of China.
The company can report that the initial series of tests by Feilong have concluded that the material is processable for lead and zinc using standard Feilong technology. These tests have also shown that the material has processable grades of Indium (In), Silver (Ag), Antimony (Sb), Germanium (Ge) and Copper (Cu).
Accordingly, Feilong are now proceeding to full assays for all the elements which can be liberated in the Kabwe material and preparations are being made for Feilong representatives to visit the stockpiles in Zambia as soon as these are to hand.
Masoud Alikhani, Chairman, commented:
"This first report under the MOU augurs well for the future and we look forward to further progress on processing our material, both for the two main base metals and for what are clearly further valuable constituents."
