Fatalities at the CSM mine
New World Resources Plc ('NWR' or the 'Company') regrets to announce fatalities at the CSM mine of OKD, a.s. ('OKD'), its Czech mining subsidiary. On Monday 22 April two 34-year old workers died approximately 1,100 metres underground.
NWR expresses its deepest condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the deceased workers.
An investigative committee comprising members of the District Mining Authority in Ostrava, CSM mine management, OKD management, the OKD Trade Unions representatives, and the Police of the Czech Republic is now conducting an enquiry into the accident.
