Fatality at the ČSM Mine

 

New World Resources Plc ('NWR' or the 'Company') regrets to announce a fatality at the ČSM Mine of OKD, a.s. ('OKD'), its Czech subsidiary, which took place today, Monday 21 May.

 

A 26-year-old employee was fatally injured approximately 870 metres underground.

 

NWR expresses its deepest condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the deceased miner.

The incident had no immediate impact on production.

An investigative committee comprising members of the District Mining Authority in Ostrava, ČSM Mine management, OKD management, the OKD Trade Unions representatives and the Police of the Czech Republic is now conducting an enquiry into the accident.
