Fatality at Karvina Mine
New World Resources Plc ('NWR' or the 'Company') regrets to announce a fatality at the Karvina Mine of OKD, a.s. ('OKD'), its Czech subsidiary.
A 45-year-old miner was fatally injured on Tuesday 12 July as a result of a rock bounce, approximately 920 metres underground. Another miner was also injured.
NWR expresses its deepest condolences to the immediate family and relatives of the deceased miner.
An investigative committee comprising members of the Ostrava Mining Authority, Karvina Mine management, OKD management, Green Gas DPB and the Trade Union is now conducting a full enquiry into the event.
