Fatality at Karviná Mine
New World Resources Plc ('NWR' or the 'Company') regrets to announce a fatality at the Karviná Mine of OKD, a.s. ('OKD'), its Czech mining subsidiary. On Thursday 27 March a 42-year-old worker died approximately 1,000 metres underground.
NWR expresses its deepest condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the deceased worker.
An investigative committee comprising members of the District Mining Authority in Ostrava, Karviná Mine management, OKD management, the OKD Trade Unions representatives, and the Police of the Czech Republic is now conducting an enquiry into the accident.
