Aquarius Platinum Limited ("Aquarius" or the "Company") deeply regrets toadvise that an employee of a contractor to Aquarius Platinum (South Africa)(Pty) Limited was fatally injured in a fall of ground incident at approximately08:00 on 25 March 2013. There were no other injuries.

The Aquarius board and management express their sincere condolences to thefamily of the deceased. The name of the deceased is being withheld until thenext of kin have been informed.

The investigation into the cause of the accident will start this afternoon.Management is in close communication with employee associations and unions, aswell as the Department of Mineral Resources. Operations at Kwezi shaft havebeen suspended.
