GB Group PLC04 July 2005 For Immediate Release4 July 2005 GB GROUP PLC (the "Company") Exercise of Share Options The Company announces that on 1 July 2005, certain options over shares in theCompany were exercised as follows under the Company's Executive Share OptionScheme: •Richard Law, Chief Executive, exercised his option over 200,000 shares (representing 0.25% of the issued share capital) in the Company at an exercise price of 11.75 pence per share. Following the exercise, Mr Law will have an interest in 787,604 shares in the Company representing 0.97% of the issued share capital of the Company. Mr Law retains further options over 1,520,000 shares in the Company. •Mona Navin-Mealey, Group Finance Director, exercised her option over 100,000 shares (representing 0.12% of the issued share capital) in the Company at an exercise price of 11.75 pence per share. Following the exercise, Mrs Navin-Mealey will have an interest in 450,000 shares in the Company representing 0.59% of the issued share capital of the Company. Mrs Navin-Mealey retains further options over 475,000 shares in the Company. Both Mr Law and Mrs Navin-Mealey have indicated that it is their intention toretain the shares allotted to them pursuant to the above exercises, althoughpart of their holdings may be sold in order that they are able to meet the PAYEliabilities arising by virtue of the exercise of the options.
