Appointment of Executive Director

Further to an announcement made on 13 January 2011 Filtrona plc announces the appointment of Colin Day as an Executive Director and Chief Executive with immediate effect.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13 (1), Colin Day has previously advised his directorships.

Colin Day confirms that there are no other details to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 (2) to (6).

As at the date of this announcement Colin Day and his connected persons owns 175,000 ordinary shares in Filtrona plc.
