National Express announces a placement of €78,500,000 4.55% Senior Notes

On 30 July 2012 National Express Group PLC ("National Express" or the "Group") entered into a private placement note purchase agreement relating to the issue by National Express of €78,500,000 4.55% Senior Notes due August 16, 2021 (the "Notes")

The proceeds from the issue of the Notes will be used to repay part of the Group's existing bank borrowings, extending the average maturity of the Group's debt and diversifying and strengthening the Group's overall funding structure.
