The project, which Globo will complete in partnership with Info-Quest S.A., is for the digitalisation of approximately 15,000,000 pages of books, magazines and newspapers of the 19th and 20th centuries, in 46 Public Libraries throughout Greece, which the public will be able to access through a specially developed web portal. The project will be completed by the end of 2008 with all of the revenues being earned in the current year. Costis Papadimitrakopoulos, Managing Director, commented: "We are delighted to have won one of the biggest digitalisation projects ever undertaken in Greece. It proves Globo's leading position in the field of digital asset management and e-business systems and services. It is the fifth consecutive, and largest project to date, from the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs, demonstrating the trust that the Ministry has in Globo's products and services. The project is important to the Greek government as it will provide public access to a vast reserve of material of historical and cultural value. It also illustrates the value of Globo's relationships with partners like Info-Quest, a leading IT hardware and services Group whose skills complement Globo's software development and services expertise. "This latest contract increases Globo's current order backlog to €10.6 million, up from €3.6 million at the end of 2007."
