Globo plc21 December 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FRIDAY, 21 December 2007 GLOBO plc €3.4 million contract for digitalisation of Greek state archives Globo plc ("Globo" or the "Company" ; LSE-AIM: GBO), a leader in the Informationand Communications Technology market in Greece, announces that it has signed a€3.4 million contract with the Greek Ministry of National Education & ReligiousAffairs for the digitalisation and documentation of General State Archives. Globo, through a 50:50 partnership with digitalisation service provider AMS,will provide specialised software, services and equipment for digitalising anddocumenting historical and cultural archives dealing with modern andcontemporary Greek history and culture. A total of 7.2 million documents will be digitalised and 500,000 archive unitsdocumented using digitalisation systems to be installed in over 40 local officesof General State Archives throughout Greece. The project will rely on Globosoftware products such as "CITRON Digital Library" and book scanners andmicrofilm archive writers from Zeutschel GmbH for which Globo is sole agent forGreece and Cyprus. This is a one year project with the bulk of the revenues being earned in 2008.
