Increase to the ethanol blendwall from 10% to 15%
PDX notes with interest yesterday's announcement by The US Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA") that it is partially granting a waiver to allow the amount of ethanol in automotive fuel to rise to 15% from 10% for use in in certain motor vehicles manufactured from 2007 onwards.
Roel Pieper, CEO of PDX, commented:
"This is a very significant step for the ethanol industry and in turn PDX. The EPA's decision to increase the blendwall is likely to lead the industry to increase production in order to meet rising demand. This will have a positive effect on our bio-fuels business and we continue to commercialise the PDX technology in this exciting area."
