Enterprise Inns plc Appoints New Chairman

Following a comprehensive search process, Enterprise Inns plc (ETI) today announces the appointment of Robert Walker to succeed Hubert Reid as Chairman. He will join the Board as a non executive director and Chairman Designate following the conclusion of today's AGM and assume the role of Chairman on 31st March 2012.

Robert Walker is currently Chairman of Travis Perkins PLC and Americana International Holdings Limited and Senior Independent Director of Tate & Lyle PLC. He was previously Chairman of W H Smith PLC, Williams Lea Group Limited and BCA Europe Limited. He was also Group Chief Executive of Severn Trent Plc and has held a number of FTSE100/250 Board appointments with BAA, Severn Trent, Signet Group, Thomson Travel and Wolseley. During his earlier career he spent over 30 years with Procter & Gamble, McKinsey and PepsiCo.

The Board of ETI regards Robert Walker as an independent director in accordance with the UK Corporate Governance Code.
