easyJet PLC29 June 2007 Friday, 29th June 2007 easyJet signs exclusive OnPoint engine service agreement with GE Aviation easyJet, Europe's leading low-fares airline, has signed a 10-year OnPointSolutions services agreement with GE Aviation for the maintenance and overhaulof the CFM56-5B* and CFM56-7B* engines powering the airline's rapidly growingfleet of 105 Airbus A319 and 30 Boeing 737-700 aircraft, respectively. Theagreement, which could cover as many as 340 shop visits, is valued at around $1billion. "This service agreement with easyJet demonstrates the confidence that theairline has in our OnPoint Solutions service offerings," said Jack Lutze,Regional Sales General Manager at GE Aviation.
