Enfis powers spectacular LED display on Yas Hotel, Abu Dhabi
Enfis (AIM: ENF, "Enfis" or the ''Company''), a leader in the design, development and manufacture of intelligent high-power light-emitting diode (LED) arrays and smart light engines, announces that its technology powers the spectacular LED display on the Yas Hotel, Abu Dhabi, which officially opens today.
Situated in the new Yas Marina development, the hotel and its lighting display provided a stunning backdrop to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which took place over the weekend.
The display is built from 5,850 "smart" LED arrays supported on a grid shell that covers the hotel roof. In total, the grid uses 208,800 individual LEDs and is capable of generating 4.2 billion fully programmable colours.
Ceri Jones, Enfis Chief Executive said:
"The Yas Hotel is a great example of how to use solid-state LED lighting to create a spectacular effect on a major work of architecture. This is our highest-profile project to date and we are proud that our lighting systems have helped to create an iconic structure that will be admired and enjoyed for generations."
