Employee Benefit Trust

The Restaurant Group plc was advised on 22 April 2010 by the trustees of The Restaurant Group Employee Benefit Trust (the potential beneficiaries of the trust being certain of the employees of The Restaurant Group plc including directors and PDMRs of the Company) of the acquisition of 600,000 shares at a price of 237.16p each on 22 April 2010.

The Employee Benefit Trust now has a beneficial interest in 5,936,861 ordinary shares representing 2.98 per cent of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
