National Express Group PLC03 October 2005 The independent trustee of the National Express Group Employee Benefit Trust(the "Trust") notified the Company on 30 September 2005 that it had on the 29September 2005 transferred 1,242 ordinary 5p shares at £4.17 to satisfy theexercise of options by employees under the Company's Savings Related ShareOption Scheme. Following this transaction the Trust holds a total of 1,155,527 shares in theCompany in which the executive directors of the Company, Messrs P.M. White, R.O'Toole and A.C. Walker are deemed to be technically interested for CompaniesAct purposes. They were not however connected with the above transactions.
