National Express Group PLC20 October 2005 The independent trustee of the National Express Group Employee Benefit Trust(the "Trust") notified the Company on 19 October 2005 that it had on the sameday transferred 837 ordinary 5p shares at £4.17 to satisfy the exercise ofoptions by employees under the Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme. Following this transaction the Trust holds a total of 1,154,259 shares in theCompany in which the executive directors of the Company, Messrs P.M. White, R.O'Toole and A.C. Walker are deemed to be technically interested for CompaniesAct purposes. They were not however connected with the above transactions.
