Electrica submitted a bid within the concession procedure for thermal and electrical energy production in Craiova Municipality
Societatea Energetică Electrica S.A. (Electrica) informs its investors and the capital market about the submission on 9 March 2026 of the technical and financial bid within the public tender procedure organized by Craiova Municipality, having as its object: "Delegation through concession of the thermal and electrical energy production activity, based on cogeneration and/or renewable energy sources in Craiova Municipality"
The concession covers a 12-year contract and involves the construction of a new thermal energy production system for the centralized network (SACET) of the municipality of Craiova, with a solution based on high-efficiency cogeneration and/ or renewable energy sources. The project addresses the city's thermal energy efficiency as well as the requirements imposed by current European legislation (Directive 2023/1791). The procedure is currently in the bid evaluation phase, with a deadline for submission of the bids set on 9 March 2026. Electrica will inform the market of the final outcome of the procedures as soon as it is officially communicated by the contracting authority, the Municipality of Craiova, in accordance with the transparency and reporting obligations applicable to listed companies.
