On February 4, 2010, the Board of Directors of Verizon Communications Inc. (Verizon) elected Rodney E. Slater as a Director, effective March 5, 2010.

On February 3, 2010, the Human Resources Committee of Verizon's Board of Directors decided that it will no longer extend the terms of any outstanding Verizon executive employment agreement.
