Announcement relating to Election of Employee Representative Supervisors

China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (the "Company") announces that an employee representatives meeting of the Company has been convened recently, at which Ms. ZHOU Liyun ("Ms. ZHOU") and Mr. GU Qiang ("Mr. GU") were elected as the employee representative supervisors of the 10th board of supervisors of the Company. In particular, the appointment qualification of Ms. ZHOU as a supervisor of the Company is subject to the approval of the regulatory authorities.

Biographical details of Ms. ZHOU are as follows:

Ms. ZHOU Liyun, born in September 1974, currently serves as the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and the principal of the Party School of the Company, and the secretary of the Party Committee directly under the Company. Ms. ZHOU served as the deputy director of the Shanghai Personnel Business Acceptance Consultation Center, the general manager of the organization and personnel department (human resources department) of Shanghai Urban Construction Investment and Development Corporation, the secretary of the Party Committee and the deputy general manager of Shanghai Chengtou Water Group Co., Ltd. and the vice president of Shanghai Chengtou Group Corporation. Ms. ZHOU holds a master's degree.

Biographical details of Mr. GU are as follows:

Mr. GU Qiang, born in January 1967, currently serves as the employee representative supervisor and deputy chief internal auditor of the Company, chairman of the board of supervisors of Pacific Asset Management Co., Ltd.("CPIC AMC"), Pacific Health Insurance Co., Ltd. and Changjiang Pension Insurance Co., Ltd. , respectively. Mr. GU served as the deputy chief accountant, CFO, finance responsible person and deputy general manager of China Pacific Property Insurance Co., Ltd., director of CPIC AMC, director of China Pacific Insurance Co., (H.K.) Limited, director, vice president and CFO of Pacific Anxin Agricultural Insurance Co., Ltd. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. GU was a lecturer at the Department of Finance and Insurance of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, senior auditor of Pricewaterhouse Da Hua Certified Public Accountants, deputy manager of Integrated Planning Department and manager of the International Business Department of Wanguo Securities Co., Ltd., vice president and CFO of Shanghai Branch of American International Underwriters. Mr. GU holds a master's degree and the title of Senior Accountant.
