Education sector project win: Royal Northern College of Music
Styles&Wood Group plc, the integrated property services and project delivery specialist, has been appointed to carry out a £4.1 million refurbishment at the Royal Northern College of Music ("RNCM") in Manchester. The 34-week scheme will see Styles&Wood Projects business unit redevelop RNCM's prestigious concert hall, increasing its capacity and introducing new advanced technical facilities.
The contract demonstrates the success of Styles&Wood's strategic focus to further its reach into specialist markets, including the education sector, with revenue generated from the education sector increasing from £1.5 million to £10 million in the 18 months to February 2014.
Over this period, the Group has provided integrated property solutions across a range of primary, secondary and free-school refurbishment projects, in addition to schemes in the further and higher education sectors including student accommodation. Recent projects in the sector have included: the complete remodelling of the Witherslack Group's Avon Park School in Warwickshire and a Solar PV installation at the March Church of England Primary School in Chichester.
