eBay uses Global Services Exchange for content projects
Meeting of the Exchanges
blur (Group) Plc (BLUR), operators of the world's leading Global Services Exchange at blurgroup.com, today announced that eBay, the world's largest online marketplace is using the Exchange for content projects.
Following a successful trial, eBay has now briefed a tranche of content delivery projects with a significant initial value and is expected to use the Exchange for copywriting projects through 2013.
The Global Services Exchange was chosen to fulfil these projects because of the access to a vast number of leading content and copywriting experts and service providers around the world. The Exchange's online platform manages the project, including quality control and payments, through to final completion. There are currently 23,000 experts from over 133 countries on the Exchange, with experts, agencies and service providers able to fulfil creative and business services projects. To date the Exchange has received over 1,300 briefs with a combined value of over $19million.
Philip Letts, CEO of blur Group commented "One of the most fascinating aspects of this project is that one of the best-known e-commerce platforms is choosing to use b2b exchanges, a meeting of the exchange worlds and endorsing exchanges as the way to buy and sell, whether you're a consumer or a business. It's an ideal project to round off a very successful year for blur Group and we're looking forward to the relationship growing through 2013."
