Charlemagne Capital Limited14 November 2007 14 November 2007 OCCO Eastern European Fund Closes to New Investment Charlemagne Capital ("Charlemagne"), the specialist emerging markets group,announces that its OCCO Eastern European Fund ("the Fund") has reached capacityand is now closed to new investment. Assets under management have doubled sinceJanuary 2006 and currently stand around USD 270 million. The Fund has generatedan annualised return of 17.2% since its inception on 31 December 2001 and is up21.5% year to date. The Fund adopts a more market neutral, or non-directional, strategy than otheremerging market hedge funds, which tend to have a bias towards long positions.It uses a bottom-up, stock-specific, focus to secure absolute returns,uncorrelated with the underlying markets in which it invests.
