Aviva PLC22 November 2006 22 November 2006 DUTCH HEALTH MERGER WILL NOT PROCEED Delta Lloyd, the Dutch subsidiary of Aviva plc ("Aviva") has today confirmedthat the proposed merger of the health insurance operations of Agis HealthInsurance, Menzis Health and Income, and Delta Lloyd and OHRA Health, will notproceed. As previously stated, the merger was contingent upon the approval of therelevant councils of members or shareholders of all three health insurers and,as a result of the decision by the Menzis Health and Income Member Council toreject the proposal, the merger will therefore not proceed.
