Roc Oil Company Limited25 March 2008 25 March 2008 ROC OIL COMPANY LIMITED ("ROC") STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE DRILLING UPDATE: KHOP-1 EXPLORATION WELL, PSC AREA C, BLOCK 6, OFFSHORE MAURITANIA Roc Oil (Mauritania) Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of ROC, advises that asat 0600 hours (local time) on 24 March 2008, the Khop-1 exploration well wasdrilled to a Total Depth of 4,265 mBRT. The well is being plugged and abandonedafter encountering thin sands with oil shows that are not considered to be ofcommercial consequence. The Khop-1 exploration well is located approximately 70 kilometres from theMauritanian coast.
