Greatland Gold PLC20 March 2007 GREATLAND GOLD PLC Firetower Drilling Results Dated: 20 March 2007 Greatland Gold plc (the "Company") the mineral exploration and developmentcompany focused on gold projects in Tasmania and Western Australia is pleased toannounce further analytical results from core drilling at Firetower. Since lastreporting drill results during February, additional significant intercepts up to16.47g/t gold and 14.90g/t gold have been returned along with 5.57% zinc, 1.91%lead and elevated copper and tungsten. Firetower Results are additional to those previously reported, and are from furtherdrilling within the resource area at Firetower. Results reflect zones of highgrade gold mineralisation within a lower grade halo. Depth extensions are alsoapparent, however drilling to date has been of a shallow nature to encompassproposed surface mining methods. Drillhole collars are presented in Table 1. Also 2.2m at 6.63g/t gold from 72m, including 1.2m at 14.90g/tgold at end of hole, this latter intercept remaining open. Significantintercepts are presented in Table 2. These results confirm higher grade plungingshoots within a lower grade mineralised system over the larger resource area. Base metals, which represent potentially valuable by-products, reported theirhighest grade intercepts to date. These include 5.57% zinc, 1.91% lead and 0.47%copper. Highly anomalous tungsten intercepts were, again, widespread. Aspreviously reported, surface indications of gold and base metal mineralisationhave been identified over a 2km x 1km area at Firetower West making this a largemineralised system. Preliminary geological logging of drillcore has confirmedthe presence of mineralisation, and analytical results are awaited. Mapping and surface sampling of other regional targets areas in the east of theproject area is underway. Competent Persons The information in this announcement that relates to Exploration Results isbased on information compiled by Mr Paul Askins and Mr Callum Baxter, directorsof Greatland Gold, who are both members of the Australasian Institute of Miningand Metallurgy. Paul Askins and Callum Baxter have sufficient experience whichis relevant to the style of mineralisation and type of deposit underconsideration and to the activity that they are undertaking to qualify asCompetent Persons as defined in the 2004 Edition of the 'Australasian Code forReporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves'. PaulAskins and Callum Baxter consent to the inclusion in the announcement of thematters based on their information in the form and context in which it appears. All diamond drilling results are obtained from half NQ core. All samples areprepared at Genalysis Laboratory Services' Adelaide facility using a singlestage pulverisation, and assayed at Genalysis Laboratory Services' Perthlaboratory. A 50g lead collection fire assay digest with atomic absorptionspectrometry (AAS) analysis technique is used for gold, and a Four Acid(hydrofluoric, nitric, perchloric and hydrochloric) digest with an OpticalEmission Spectrometry (OES) finish for other elements. Full quality control isachieved using a suite of standards, duplicates, repeats and blanks. The spatial location of samples is derived using by registered surveyor using atotal station theodelite and classical surveying methods based on geodetic trigstation control, and Eastman single shot downhole or north seeking gyro surveys.Stated co-ordinates are based on the Australian Map Grid 1966, Zone 55 (AGD66Zone 55).
