SouthernEra Diamonds reports processing of bulk samples from DO-27 pipe to begin June 15, 2006 Shares issued and outstanding: 159,428,601 TSX: SDM AIM: SRE TORONTO and LONDON, June 8 /CNW/ - SouthernEra Diamonds Inc. (TSX: SDM;AIM: SRE) announced today that it has been advised by Peregrine Diamonds Ltd.("Peregrine"), operating partner of the WO Project Joint Venture, that onJune 15, 2006 the Ekati(TM) Diamond Mine Sample Plant facility will beginprocessing the 2006 Bulk Sample collected from the DO-27 kimberlite pipe,Northwest Territories, Canada. The 2006 large diameter drilling bulk sampling program recoveredapproximately 566 tonnes of kimberlite which was collected in 444 separatesample bags from 12 holes. The kimberlite collected will be processed asapproximately 90 separate samples, each sample being comprised of a number ofcombined bags representing standard depth intervals in each hole. This willallow the diamond recovery results to be correlated between holes andincorporated into 3D models for future resource evaluation. The processing of all the kimberlite, including the picking and sortingof all the diamonds as well as grade calculations, should be completed by lateAugust, 2006 at which time results will be released. Peregrine's diamond exploration programs are conducted under thedirection of Dr. Jennifer Pell, Vice President Exploration, P. Geo., (BC), P.Geo. (NT/NU), a qualified person under NI 43-101. SouthernEra holds a 4.9% interest in the WO Diamond Project.
