Glencar Mining PLC08 March 2006 GLENCAR MINING PLC Drilling to Recommence at Komana target in Mali 8 March 2006 Glencar Mining plc ("Glencar" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that thesecond phase of drilling on its Komana target in the Yanfolila Project in Maliis due to commence on 27 March 2006. Approximately 2,500 metres of reversecirculation drilling will be carried out, predominantly to test the southerlycontinuation of the mineralised shear zone within which bonanza gold grades of55.19 grams per tonne over 20 metres were reported from the first phase ofdrilling in December 2005. Geological mapping and rock sampling has shown goldgrades of up to 36.85 grams per tonne in grab samples taken from recentlydeveloped artisanal pits which occur 800 metres along strike to the south and invery similar geological setting to that of the mineralisation drilled in thefirst phase. Assay results from the drilling programme should be available during April 2006.
