Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("SEC") announced today that its Board of Directors has authorized donations to the following foundations and educational organizations.

1. KRW 24.0 billion to Samsung Welfare Foundation

2. KRW 37.7 billion to Samsung Life Public Welfare Foundation

3. KRW 15.0 billion to Sungkyunkwan University

4. KRW 4.0 billion to Ho-Am Foundation

5. KRW 1.7 billion to Samsung Press Foundation

As a responsible corporate citizen, Samsung Electronics seek to participate in addressing the problems faced by communities and enrich the lives of its members through corporate contributions and corporate social responsibility programs.

※ Note: Pursuant to the Korean Fair Trade Act, a donor is required to disclose contributions to charitable organizations if the amount of the donation exceeds KRW 5 billion and the recipient is an affiliated entity of the donor.
