William Hill PLC31 May 2005 31 May 2005 For immediate release William Hill PLC ("William Hill") Shareholders' Circular and Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting ("EGM") William Hill has today posted a circular to all its shareholders (the "Circular") setting out, among other things, the details, and actions to be taken, inrelation to its proposed acquisition of Stanley Leisure plc's retail bookmakingoperations in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Jerseyand the Isle of Man (the "Acquisition") as outlined in the announcement on 16May 2005 and its proposed performance share plan (the "Performance Share Plan"). As described in the Circular, the Acquisition and the Performance Share Planrequire the approval of William Hill's Shareholders at its EGM on 17 June 2005.
