First Interim Dividend

The Company announces that the Board of the Company has declared a first interim dividend of 6.8p per share (first interim dividend 2016: 6.1p per share) in respect of the year ending 30 September 2017. Such dividend will be paid on Wednesday, 10 May 2017 to shareholders on the register on Friday, 7 April 2017. The associated ex-dividend date is Thursday, 6 April 2017.

The 11.5% increase to this first interim dividend of 6.8p per share when compared to the corresponding dividend in 2016, has been made in order to reduce the disparity between the first and second interim dividends. The second interim dividend is expected to be declared in late September 2017.
