Interim Dividend

The Directors of the Company are pleased to declare a Dividend of 17.14 pence per ordinary share (equivalent US$ 21.71 cents per ordinary share) (the "Dividend") in respect of the period ended 31 December 2018. This Dividend is being paid by the Company in order to maintain its investment trust status.

The Dividend will be paid on 12 July 2019 to shareholders on the register as of 7 June 2019. The ex-dividend date is 6 June 2019.

The Company has elected to designate all of the Dividend as an interest distribution to its shareholders. In doing so the Company is taking advantage of UK tax treatment by "streaming" income from interest-bearing investments into dividends that will be taxed in the hands of shareholders as interest income.
