Further Distribution Expansion
LiDCO Group Plc (AIM: LID), the cardiovascular monitoring company, is pleased to announce further expansion of its distribution network. An exclusive distribution agreement has been signed for the sale of LiDCOrapid Monitor and disposables in Australia and New Zealand with Neomedix Systems based in Sydney.
Neomedix Systems has been a supplier to the medical community of Australia for over 30 years and is a successful importer/distributor of medical equipment, including high-end bedside patient monitoring and cardiac investigation products. Australia's high per capita income and spending on healthcare at 9.7 percent of GDP creates a demand for sophisticated medical equipment whose use can result in a significant improvement in clinical outcomes.
Dr Terry O'Brien, CEO LiDCO Group plc, commented: "Worldwide we estimate that surgical hemodynamic monitoring represents a potential annual revenue opportunity of over $800 million. Our strategy has been to significantly expand our access to this market opportunity through 3rd party distributors. This appointment is a useful addition to our growing route to market.
