Punch Taverns PLC09 June 2006 PUNCH TAVERNS PLC ("Punch") Update re: Disposal of 290 Pubs Further to Punch's announcement yesterday that it has agreed to sell 290 pubs toOrchid Pubs Limited, a company formed by GI Partners, the UK Listing Authorityhas confirmed to Punch's advisers that it has determined that this transactionis deemed to be a Class 2 disposal under Chapter 10 of the Listing Rules andtherefore does not require the approval of Punch's shareholders.
