Homeserve Plc01 February 2005 DISPOSAL OF DOORMAN SERVICES On 31 January 2005, Homeserve plc ("Homeserve") sold Doorman Services Limited ("Doorman") to Assa Abloy AB ("Assa") for a cash consideration of £6.62m. Doorman is part of Middleton Doorman, which was acquired in 2002, and operateswithin the commercial outsourcing division, offering door, access and securityservices to commercial, industrial, public sector and utility clients. In September 2004, Homeserve announced its intention to dispose of itscommercial businesses in order to focus on the provision of insured repairsolutions to domestic customers through affinity partner relationships. In the year ended 31 March 2004, Doorman made a profit before interest andtaxation of £0.8m on turnover of £9.9m. The net assets are estimated at £2.4mand the remaining unamortised goodwill balance at £6.0m.
