Genus PLC04 October 2007 For Immediate Release 4 October 2007 Genus plc Disposal of SyAqua Mexico Genus plc, a world leading animal genetics company, is pleased to announce the disposal of its SyAqua Mexico shrimp business for a total consideration of $2.6m (£1.3m) in cash. For the year ended 30 June 2007, SyAqua Mexico generated turnover of £2.4m and an operating profit of £0.5m with net assets of £0.8m.
