MODERN WATER EMPLOYEE SHARE OPTION TRUST
Modern Water plc ("the Company") announces that it has been advised that on 28 September 2010 Modern Water (Nominees) Limited, as Trustee of the Modern Water Employee Share Option Trust, sold 16,549 Modern Water plc ordinary shares of 0.25p each at an average price of £0.69 per share. These sales were made at the request of and on behalf of employees to cover the tax and national insurance on the vesting of share awards made under the Modern Water Incentive Plan.
At the same time Modern Water (Nominees) Limited has transferred 43,556 shares in Modern Water plc to employees to satisfy the vesting of those share awards.
Following this share sale and transfer Modern Water (Nominees) Limited holds no shares in Modern Water plc.
