Clariant03 July 2006 Clariant completes sale of Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals MUTTENZ, Switzerland, July 3, 2006 - After fulfilment of local transferrequirements and approval of all relevant authorities, Clariant has completedthe sale of its Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals unit to TowerBrook CapitalPartners, L.P. on June 30th 2006 for a transaction value of CHF 110 million. The Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals unit, part of the Life Science ChemicalsDivision, is subsequently reported as discontinued operation.
