SECTION 430 (2B) COMPANIES ACT 2006 STATEMENT - AMAN MEHTA

Further to the announcement by Vedanta Resources plc (the "Company") on 23 May 2017, Mr Aman Mehta has retired as a Non-Executive Director of the Company following the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting on 14 August 2017. 

In accordance with section 430 (2B) of the Companies Act 2006, the Company confirms that Mr Mehta will receive pro-rated Board, Audit, Nominations and Remuneration Committee fees up to and including 14 August 2017 at the rates set out in the Company's Annual Report & Accounts 2017. No other remuneration payment will be made by the Company to Mr Mehta after he ceased to be a Non-Executive Director of the Company, nor will any payment for loss of office be made.
